Princess Kate and Prince William to attend Men’s Wimbledon Final today | Royal | News

World No 1 Sinner is playing to defend his title, having beaten Carlos Alcaraz in last year’s final three sets to one. The Italian is the favourite to lift the trophy, having beaten German-born Zverev in their last nine meetings. But his opponent, who knocked out British wildcard Arthur Fery in the semi-final, will be seeking to complete a French Open-Wimbledon double, having won his first Grand Slam in the competition last month.

Linda Noskova lifted the impressive Venus Rosewater Dish after defeating her team-mate Karolina Muchova 6-2, 5-7, 6-3.

It marked her first Grand Slam title and at the age of 21, she is the youngest Wimbledon women’s champion since 2011. It was an impressive final, with her opponent saving five championship points and fighting back from a set and a break down to force a decider.

The princess received a standing ovation from the crows as she stepped out onto Centre Court in a strawberry red belted top and pleated midi skirt.

As well as presenting Noskova with the trophy, Catherine also greeted ball boys and ball girls as she arrived on Centre Court for the trophy presentation, and met members of the court service team after the ceremony was complete.

While watching the match, she kept cool in the 29C heat by wearing a wide-brimmed sun-hat and used a hand-held electric fan.

The princess shook hands with American tennis star Billie Jean King and sat beside All England Club chairwoman Deborah Jevans and former Czech-American tennis player Martina Navratilova.

Other famous faces in the royal box included Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham, American actress Jodie Foster and filmmaker Sir Sam Mendes.
