Queen Camilla was reportedly left disappointed with Meghan Markle‘s decision to post particular pictures from her latest visit to the UK, according to an insider. Meghan returned to Instagram last year, with her first post shared on New Year’s Day 2025.
Since her return, Meghan has shared insights into her life away from the Firm, her life as a mother and her work commitments. During her return to the UK last month, her first trip there since 2022, Queen Camilla reportedly asked Meghan not to post anything from the visit.
However, according to a royal source who spoke to New Idea, King Charles and Queen Camilla were left “unimpressed” by Meghan’s decision to post a picture of the family on their way to Diana’s grave.
They told the publication: “Camilla’s words appear to have fallen on deaf ears.
“She feels that she was clear about no social media posts and if Meghan thinks Allthorp was an exception, she was very wrong.”
They added that Camilla requested that nothing was to be shared online from the meeting at Highgrove House.
Camilla was reportedly adamant that the meeting was held purely for the King’s two youngest grandchildren, who he had not seen in person since 2022.
“She made it clear that this was for Archie and Lilibet,” the insider explained, “but if there were any leaks about their meeting, the door would be closed forever.”
The picture thought to have been taken at the Althorp estate, which is now owned by Harry’s uncle Earl Spencer, shows Lilibet walking along – following Harry and her big brother.
The meeting at Highgrove House is said to have taken place on July 10, and is thought to have lasted around an hour.
