Real reason Prince William no longer wanted contact with Prince Harry | Royal | News

With a few disagreements allegedly occurring around the time of the wedding, it is believed their once-close brotherly bond was rocked again by Harry’s decision to step back from royal life in 2020. The 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview, followed by Harry and Meghan’s 2022 Netflix docuseries, then made matters worse, with Prince William reportedly not being happy with Harry’s public criticisms of the Royal Family.

Talking about how this was the point of no return for William when it came to being in contact with Harry, Dan Wakeford – founder of Celebrity Intelligence – told The Royals Uncensored podcast that the future King did not like the way Harry spoke about Princess Catherine in the book.

This is because Harry did not always paint Catherine in the most positive light in the memoir.

“It made him realise ‘I am done’. He could deal with the criticisms of himself but criticising Kate is really the straw that broke the camels back here.”

It is believed Harry, 41, and William, 43, have not been on talking terms for a few years.

This is despite the fact that Harry has visited the UK from his home in Montecito a number of times and even met his father, King Charles.

William has never been present for any of these meetings.

While Harry has publicly hinted that he would like reconciliation with his brother at some point, William has always kept quiet on the matter.
