Reason King Charles is ‘under pressure’ to end Harry feud | Royal | News

King Charles is reportedly under pressure to make amends with Prince Harry as a result of one key position he holds, it has been claimed. As King, Charles has a number of roles and responsibilities that come with wearing The Crown.

The expert told New Magazine: “From Charles’ point of view, it’s his son.

“In his first speech when he became King, he declared his love for Harry and Meghan and although he’s had a lot of that thrown back in his face, it clearly shows his mindset.

“He doesn’t want to be at loggerheads with his son, he doesn’t want the feuding to continue. Charles is also head of the Church of England and this shouldn’t be underplayed.

“As the Defender of the Faith, he has to subscribe to the notion of forgiveness and not holding grudges. King Charles takes that quite seriously because his mother did.”

Larcombe continued: “He’s devoted to what’s expected of him as monarch, and that is a major part of it. He can’t just oust his son and be seen publicly to not be forgiving.”

Any meeting between the King and Harry will be private, with the father-and-son having last seen each other in September.
