Sarah Ferguson is tipped to pull off one of her “most incredible” comebacks yet following the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, a royal commentator has claimed. The former Duchess of York has kept a particularly low profile since last year, when the King axed her title after details of her relationship with the disgraced US financier and convicted paedophile emerged.
Ms Ferguson appeared to have a close relationship with Epstein, even after his conviction for soliciting minors and her public shunning of him. Fergie, as she is otherwise known, and her ex-husband, lost their titles and honours and were forced to vacate Royal Lodge, their home of nearly 20 years. The former duchess has not been seen in public since late last year, with several royal watchers weighing in on her potential return and whether she would ever tell her side of the story.
Now, a royal author has claimed that Ms Ferguson will most likely reemerge in one way or another.
Author Phil Dampier claimed that the former duchess could soon try to tell “her side of the story,” as well as try to get back with the King “for the sake of her daughter,” Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
He told the Daily Mail: “It’s quite extraordinary how Sarah Ferguson bounces back time and time again.
“She has had more comebacks than Frank Sinatra and it looks like she may pull off her most incredible yet.”
Mr Dampier added that Fergie had “a lot of time to think” about her next moves in the last few months, and that she would most likely have a plan to “reinvent” herself in one way or the other.
However, he said it’s less likely to release a bombshell memoir in order to keep a good relationship with the King.
The author explained: “I think it’s less likely she will write yet another autobiography and spill the beans on the royals.
“And she will want to try and get back in with the King for the sake of her daughters, or at least not upset Charles.
“Fergie still has her fans, and you can never write her off.”
