The battle to reach the World Snooker Championship final will progress as the tournament reaches the business stage of the competition with one of John Higgins, Shaun Murphy, Mark Allen or Wu Yize set to triumph at the Crucible.
On Friday, Higgins and Murphy kick off proceedings before Allen looks to chase down the 22-year-old.
The first session of Higgins and Murphy’s semi-final took place on Thursday afternoon with the score level at 4-4. Meanwhile, Wu leads 6-2 over Allen at their interval with both matches a best-of-33 frames.
Allen and Wu are looking to advance to the Crucible final for the first time in their careers. Allen beat Barry Hawkins 13-11 in a titanic quarter-final battle while Yize, who had never won a match at the Crucible before this year, overcame Hossein Vafaei 13-8.
Yesterday’s action was marred by the live feed cutting out during Wu’s clash with Allen, meaning viewers missed crucial elements of the action.
