Suspect named as woman charged with murder after death of 75-year-old man | UK | News

A suspect has been named by police as she was charged with murder following the death of a 75-year-old man. Police officers were called to an address in Bolton on Friday, at approximately 8am.

There, they found a 75-year-old man, who was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation was launched by Greater Manchester Police (GMP). On Saturday, a crime scene van and a police car were pictured near the address, Hargreaves House, Ormrod Street, the MEN reports.

Today, July 19, GMP said a woman, Samantha Nuttall, has been charged in connection with the incident.

She was remanded into custody, and is due to appear at Salford Magistrates Court tomorrow.

A GMP statement read: “A woman has been charged following the death of a man at Hargreaves House, Ormrod Street, Bolton on Friday 17 July 2026.

“Samantha Nuttall (26.05.1977), Bradford Street, Bolton has been charged with murder and has been remanded into custody. She will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Monday 20 July 2026.

“The charge relates to an incident officers were called to at Hargreaves House on Ormrod Street, Bolton at around 8am on Friday 17 July 2026. Sadly a 75-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.”
