Tesco shoppers who use a Clubcard are being reminded to check their account to see if they have unspent vouchers. These vouchers allow customers to get money off their spend in-store, and also offer the opportunity to get discounts with Clubcard partners such as Disney+, Thorpe Park, Pizza Express and much more. However, around half a million Clubcard members are sitting on unspent vouchers.
Vouchers are earned by scanning your Clubcard at the till. When you have spent £150 over time at Tesco, this converts into 150 points, which then translates into a £1.50 voucher. Through the Clubcard app, you can find vouchers and scan them at the till in Tesco stores, and the value of them will be taken off your final spend. Vouchers can also be spent on fuel at Tesco filling stations or Esso sites with a Tesco Express.
Tesco group membership and loyalty director Shama Wilson said: “If you really want to make the most of your Clubcard, then check how many vouchers you are sitting on – you could be missing out on big savings on holidays, meals out or days out, or even the chance to get Disney+, cinema tickets or magazine subscriptions without spending a penny.”
Retail experts revealed earlier this year that the Tesco Clubcard is the most popular supermarket loyalty scheme in the UK. Not only do customers earn vouchers to spend in-store and with Clubcard partners, but they also enjoy lower prices on many products, including meal deals, when they scan their Clubcard at the till.
There are now more than 20 million users of the Tesco Clubcard across the UK.
When vouchers are spent with reward partners, they are worth double the amount. However, users can triple the amount when they spend their vouchers with certain companies.
When you have £100 in vouchers that have built up over time, this can be exchanged for £300 of vouchers to spend at seven restaurant chains, including Pizza Express and Bella Italia.
Tesco shoppers can also collect 300 Virgin Points with £1.50 in Clubcard vouchers to spend with Virgin Red, unlocking discounts on hotel stays, flights and cruises.
Another attractive offer is English Heritage, with Clubcard holders being able to use vouchers to get double the value on memberships, allowing them access to over 400 historic places in England.
