Tesco gives shoppers 5% discount off fuel if they do 1 thing | UK | News

Tesco shoppers can cut the cost of filling up their car this month by claiming 5% off fuel after spending £60 in store. The supermarket is offering the discount to customers who spend at least £60 in a single in-store transaction before Sunday, August 16. Anyone who qualifies will receive a coupon giving them 5% off the cost of diesel or unleaded petrol at participating Tesco-branded petrol stations.

At current prices, Tesco said the offer is worth up to 8p off per litre of fuel, helping drivers save money every time they fill up. The fuel voucher can be redeemed at more than 500 Tesco filling stations across the UK until Sunday, August 23.

The promotion is available on qualifying in-store purchases, meaning online grocery orders are not included. The fuel offer is one of several promotions Tesco has introduced to help shoppers over the summer.

In recent weeks, the retailer launched its Freebie Thursdays campaign, giving Clubcard members the chance to claim free products through digital coupons.

Tesco has also continued its Kids Eat Free scheme in Tesco Cafés during the school holidays, allowing children to receive a free meal with a qualifying adult purchase.

Earlier this year, the supermarket expanded its Aldi Price Match programme to more than 2,000 Tesco Express stores, extending lower prices on a range of everyday essentials to many of its convenience shops.

With fuel remaining one of the biggest household expenses for many motorists, the latest promotion offers shoppers another way to reduce their weekly costs while doing the grocery shop.

Customers planning to take advantage of the offer should remember that the £60 qualifying spend must be made before August 16, while the fuel coupon must be used by August 23 at participating Tesco forecourts.
