Hello and welcome to Express Sport‘s live transfer news blog for Sunday, August 2.
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to make a move for Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen, as Roberto De Zerbi continues his first-team overhaul. While it is claimed that Spurs have made approaches in the ballpark of around £55million, the Turkish giants are thought to value Osimhen at £10m more.
Elsewhere in North London, Arsenal are edging closer to a move for Bruno Guimaraes, albeit, no move is contract just yet. Despite claims that a deal has been struck with Newcastle United captain, and a medical is booked in for Monday, Chronicle Live understand that there is still no official approach from the Gunners.
Whether that changes over the next 24 hours, with Guimaraes set to link up with his team-mates in La Manga remains to be seen.
Manchester United, meanwhile, have been given the green light to hijack Paris Saint-Germain’s move for Ajax winger, Mika Godts. A deal may not come cheap, however, with the Eredivisie mainstays valuing the 21-year-old at around £51m.
