Trump sends one hour Iran nuke warning – ‘we will not allow that to happen’ | US | News

US President Donald Trump has claimed Iran will never possess a nuclear weapon – and if they did it would have took them just one hour to use it.

The US and Iran found themselves caught up in a conflict that roiled global markets, affected air travel and caused widespread disruptions across the Middle East after joint US-Israeli strikes on several key Iranian sites on February 28.

According to reports from Al Jazeera, Trump’s comments come as negotiations between Israel and Lebanon are still ongoing, and Washington continues to facilitate the talks.

Al Jazeera reports Trump stating: “We had to act against Iran because its possession of a nuclear weapon means the demise of Israel and the Middle East and endangering the world.

“Iran will not possess nuclear weapons and has agreed to that 100%.

“If Iran had a nuclear weapon, they would have used it within the first hour, and we will not allow that to happen.”

After months of conflict, the US and Iran reached a peace agreement that would see the critical Strait of Hormuz reopen and the promise that Iran will get rid of its enriched uranium reserves which could be used to develop nuclear weapons.
