A UFO investigator has issued a warning that “something is imminent”, claiming that “people are going to be shocked” as the Trump administration releases previously classified documents on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs).
In February, Donald Trump instructed the US government to “begin the process of identifying and releasing” official files on aliens and extraterrestrial life. The Pentagon has spent years working to declassify the documents, but Trump refocused attention on the matter by hinting at a substantial UFO document release.
That disclosure finally commenced this month. On 8 May, the Pentagon published its initial batch of files, comprising hundreds of pages documenting reported sightings dating back to the 1940s, over 20 video files showing unidentified objects captured by military sensors across locations from Syria and Japan to North America, alongside historical State Department cables, FBI documents and transcripts from NASA crewed space flights.
Last week, the Pentagon unveiled a second batch of 64 files, consisting of six PDF files, seven audio files, and 51 video files. The second collection of records featured a first-hand account from an intelligence officer in 2025 describing an experience that left him “virtually speechless,” along with numerous videos of UAPs captured by military aircraft.

“The evidence is overwhelming that we’re being visited,” Josh Golembeske, a UAP investigator and TV Producer who co-hosts Cosmic Disclosure on alternative streaming platform Gaia, told Fox News. “There’s been a lid put on it,” he added.
Nevertheless, Golembeske contends that the Trump administration’s incremental release of previously classified UFO files forms part of a deliberate strategy to gradually feed the public information regarding extraterrestrial encounters, so as to avoid triggering widespread panic about potential neighbours elsewhere in the universe.
“There’s been a long push from the public and behind the scenes to get to this moment. That push also leaked into the [Trump] administration. So now this administration is more open to it,” he notes.
Golembeske, who has long championed full transparency surrounding UFOs, explained that controlled releases represent an effective means of preparing the public for the possibility that we may not be alone.

“I think this is a slow drip disclosure, and you could argue it’s compassionate disclosure,” Golembeske said. “This is actually how I would do it, because I know that people are going to be shocked and I wouldn’t just drop everything on them.”
He hinted that far more significant revelations could be on the horizon. “I wouldn’t have said this five years ago, but it feels like something is imminent,” Golembeske said. “It does feel like we’re building towards a moment and the genie can’t be put back in the bottle – I think it’s gone too far.”
Nevertheless, he implored the government to opt for “hope-based disclosures” rather than a “fear-based disclosure”, reassuring the public that the evidence he has spent years accumulating “suggests there is nothing to fear”.
