Weather conditions across the UK are about to take a U-turn, according to new weather maps. WXCharts forecasts rainfall for the nation after weeks of scorching hot weather. The maps for August 10 show huge blue patches covering parts as far as the Scottish Highlands and as far south as Cornwall.
The UK has been experiencing skyrocketing temperatures throughout the day and night, with extreme heat sweeping through the nation. Conditions this summer have resulted in record-breaking temperatures and three heatwaves.
However, things will be settling down soon. According to the map, Scotland will mainly be affected by showers, with them scattered across the country, including parts of the Highlands, Central, Aberdeen and Edinburgh.
A large chunk of England will also experience wet conditions, with the heaviest rain across the North and the Midlands. Parts of Wales will see light rain, as well as the south, though most of the region will escape the rain by evening. Temperatures are also expected to be moderate potentially ranging in the mid-10s.
The Met Office also predicts rainfall around August 10. According to its long-range forecast for August 7 to August 16, weather patterns will be changeable.
It states: “Probably rather changeable to begin this period, with some rain or showers at times, but also the likelihood of some decent drier interludes too.”
