‘Urgent warning’ as man ‘who could be contagious’ vanishes from UK hos | UK | News

Police have launched an urgent search for a missing man who may be carrying a contagious health condition and are urging the public not to approach him if he is seen. Dean Hesketh, 51, who is also known as Tim, Dean, or Anthony Gledhill, disappeared after leaving Royal Preston Hospital in Lancashire on Tuesday, July 28. While authorities have warned that he could have a contagious health condition, they have not disclosed what the condition is.

CCTV footage shows Dean wearing a blue surgical face mask as he walks through a hospital corridor shortly before he went missing. Officers reportedly say they are becoming “increasingly concerned” for his welfare and are urging anyone who sees him to call 999 immediately instead of approaching him.

Dean is described as a 5ft 4in tall, with black hair, blue eyes and a slim build. When he was last seen, he was wearing a khaki green and black jacket, a Lyle and Scott jumper, black trainers and a blue surgical face mask. He is known to have links to Preston, Penwortham and Blackpool.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police stated: “Enquiries to locate Dean are ongoing, and we are growing increasingly concerned for him.

“We ask that if you see Dean, don’t approach him, as he may have a contagious health condition.

“If you do see Dean, it’s really important that you get in touch with us on 999 as soon as you can, so that we can make sure he is safe.”

Anyone with information about Dean’s whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101, quoting log 1051 of July 28.
