Walkers announces major new crisps change you’ll notice at Tesco, Sainsbury’s or Asda | UK | News

Walkers has dropped a much-loved crisp range once again. It is the second time in four years the snack has been pulled.

The company originally discontinued the range in 2022, then brought it back two years later. However, Walkers has now confirmed its Crinkles range is being withdrawn once more, with remaining packs only available until the current stock sells out after production stopped in February.

A spokesperson told The Sun: “After a great run, Walkers Crinkles will soon be leaving shelves. We know some fans may be disappointed, but they can still choose from our line-up of great-tasting crisps, from our new Walkers Baked flavours Slow Roasted Beef and Sun Dried Tomato & Basil to our bold Walkers MAX flavours.

“Evolving our portfolio allows us to focus on making more of the flavours people love the most.”

First introduced in 2011, the popular snack was known for its ridged crinkle-cut shape and came in three flavours: Simply Sea Salted, Cheddar & Onion, and Salt & Malt Vinegar.

The crisps were eventually removed from production in 2022, with the company previously telling one customer online it had “no immediate plans” to bring Crinkles back.

Fans were thrilled when Walkers announced in 2024 that the crisps would return to shelves. Since then, the range has attracted plenty of praise from shoppers.

One said: “I regularly buy these Walkers Crinkle crisps and one bag is never enough!”

Another added: “Whoever made the decision to bring back Crinkles, please give them a massive pay rise. They are the best crisps on the market.”

But unfortunately for loyal fans, the much-loved snack is now facing the axe for a second time.
