Research shows that Gen Z teens and young adults are dating far less than generations before, so staff reporter for The Atlantic Faith Hill and clinical psychologist Alexandra Solomon join TODAY to break down the “situationship” trend that’s replacing dating. They explain how a society-wide decrease in stigma around singlehood has resulted in less pressure for young people to go on dates, and talk about the fear of rejection that causes Gen Z to shy away from emotional vulnerability.
