Zodiac signs must prepare to ‘sleep less’ in May as Blue Moon month begins

May has arrived, bringing along a new month of astrological happenings, including the rare blue moon. Astrologer Inbaal Honigman says: “This Blue Moon month creates a fabulously satisfying cycle, with the full moon in Scorpio on the first day of the month, and a full moon in Sagittarius on the last. Double-full-moon months are considered rare, hence the term ‘once in every Blue Moon’, so this is your opportunity to do the unexpected.

“If there’s something you’ve always fancied, but put off for a while, now is your chance, get out of your own way and let the Blue Moon illuminate your courageous path. Cancerians will feel especially bold and capable because the Moon is their planetary ruler, so their dose of monthly good luck is doubled. All the signs can expect to sleep less and daydream more, with the Blue Moon acting as a heavenly conduit for inspiration and intuition.” Below, Inbaal has shared her horoscope predictions for each star sign in May:

Aries: March 21 to April 19

A busy month becomes easier as the days go on, Aries, ,since two main planets leave you to your own devices. This May starts with four planets in Aries. Neptune, the planet of dreams, helps you believe in your visions and will stay with you for a few years. Saturn, the planet of discipline, lets you remain focused and is with you for a couple of years. Mars, your ruling planet, which is responsible for passion and temper, starts the month keeping your energy high, maybe too high, but leaves you on the 18th so that you can regain your peace. Mercury, the planet of communication, asks you to socialise a lot at the start of the month, then it gives you a break from the 2nd.

Taurus: April 20 to May 20

You’re a peaceful and welcoming sign, and you prioritise your peace as much as possible, Taurus, so this month might feel a little busy for you, but you’ll achieve a lot. Between the 2nd and the 17th, Mercury, the planet of communication, is in your sign, which will bless you with new contracts and swift progression at work. Then, from the 18th onwards, the planet of passion, Mars, is in your sign, which makes life exciting as new friends enter the sphere. The 14^th is a special day, as the Sun and Mercury get close together in your sign, and the power of those two amplifies any job applications or property purchase you’re involved in.

Gemini: May 21 to June 21

Fun-loving and unique, you don’t look for the approval of others, Gemini, and this May, you’re wilder than ever. Uranus, planet of rebellion, is in the sign of Gemini all month long. It gives you extra confidence to go against the grain, to invent your own ways of dealing with social situations, and to make career decisions that might seem risky, but turn out to be smart. On the 17th, this planet meets with the chatty planet Mercury in your sign, which means an important email exchange helps you leave some things behind. Cancer: June 21 to July 22

No matter how lucky you get in all aspects of life, Cancer, it means nothing to you unless your home and your love life feel lucky. There is good news in May 2026. While Jupiter, planet of luck, has spent the past 10 months in your sign, you’ve found more stability and good fortune with work, finances, property and studies. Life is never perfect, but year-on-year, you can tell the past year has shown improvement across all fronts. The icing on the cake is here now, as Venus, planet of love and the home, is entering Cancer at long last from the 18th. Leo: July 23 to August 22
