A large fire has broken out in Golders Green, north London, with a large plume of smoke seen from miles. Firefighters from the London Fire Brigade (LFB) rushed to the area on Wednesday morning, May 27, to tackle the blaze, which the force said broke out by a building which is three-storey and located on Golders Green Road “with a shop on the ground floor and premises above”, the force said.
Online reports suggest the fire may have broken out near or behind Jewish supermarket Kosher Kingdom. A number of roads in the surrounding area have been closed, and residents are urged to keep their doors and windows closed. The fire service added: “Please avoid the area whilst firefighters work to extinguish the fire.”
