Millions of rail passengers have been hit by travel chaos due to an an electrical failure at a communications centre. Network Rail has warned services across the Midlands, Greater Manchester and the North West will either be cancelled, delayed by up to an hour or rescheduled.
The power outage has impacted several operators, including Avanti West Coast, East Midlands Railway, London Northwestern Railway, Merseyrail, Northern, and Transport for Wales. National Rail has warned the mass disruption is expected to last until the end of the day.
