October Prime Day (technically called Prime Big Deal Days) is happening now through October 7, offering its well-known Lightning Deals, exclusive to Prime members, along with discounts on vacuums, beauty and tech. Lightning Deals tend to be better than most, but they’re only available for a limited time and tend to sell out quickly. Since they go fast, if you see a Lightning Deal you want, add it to cart and check out while you can.
I frequently cover shopping events like Amazon Prime Day, Black Friday and Cyber Monday as a writer for NBC Selected, so I know how to find deals that are actually worth buying. I spent weeks combing through thousands of discounts to find the best October Prime Day lightning deals — each one I recommend below is highly rated and 20 percent off or more, as well as at its lowest price in at least three months. I’ll frequently update this list throughout Prime Big Deal Days with editor-approved picks.

Why are these October Prime Day Lightning deals worth it?
Prime members can historically find some of the lowest prices of the year on products across categories during Amazon Prime Day, and Lightning Deals tend to offer the deepest discounts on popular products. Lightning Deals give you a short window to buy limited quantities of specific products, and the program only runs through Jun. 26. Once Lightning Deals sell out, they’re gone for good.
I evaluated the quality of these deals by running them through price trackers like CamelCamelCamel, and I only included those that:
- Are at their lowest price in at least three months
- Are 20% off or more
- Are highly rated with at least a 4.0-star average rating from hundreds of customers on Amazon
