Meghan Markle could be set to return to the UK in July, alongside her husband, Prince Harry. The couple left for the USA after stepping down from their royal duties in 2020. The couple have faced criticism following their departure from the Royal Family, and they’ve fallen out with most senior members of the Firm.
But coming back to the UK could benefit Meghan Markle, and her brand, As Ever. In New Magazine, royal biographer, Ingrid Seward, said: “It could be a very good move for her business, but it leaves her with a bit of a crisis because coming to a country where she is so disliked won’t be easy.”
The move was not received well by large numbers of people.
Journalist Sarah Vine said that the Sussexes “hardly had a chance to understand what the job really entails before handing in their resignation.” But returning to the UK could be beneficial for Meghan, even though it might also pose challenges.
Meghan’s lifestyle brand, As Ever, is now her main venture.
The brand has a regal feel, so close relationships with the Royal Family would be beneficial, Seward says. As Ever launched in 2025 – it sells a range of homeware and food items, including candles, wine, jam and chocolate boxes.
When Meghan first introduced the world to As Ever. She explained the meaning behind the name via Instagram.
“‘As ever’ means ‘as it’s always been,’” she said. “If you’ve followed me since my days of creating The Tig, you’ll know this couldn’t be truer for me.”
She said: “This new chapter is an extension of what has always been my love language—beautifully weaving together everything I cherish: food, gardening, entertaining, thoughtful living, and finding joy in the everyday.”
But now, International Business Times reports that the future of As Ever is allegedly looking uncertain, with the company reportedly “struggling financially.”
