Meghan Markle uses same tactic as Kate hours after Australia arrival | Royal | News

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were spotted speaking to children and their parents during a visit to Melbourne Children’s Hospital today. The couple had arrived Down Under just hours before the visit, without their two children in tow.

Whilst speaking to the children, Meghan appeared to deploy the same tactic that Princess Catherine usually takes on during any visits that involve young people. She could be seen bending down to her eye level, a sweet move notably used by her sister-in-law.

Meghan was spotted speaking to a four-year-old little girl named Lily, was was born just a day before her daughter in June 2021.

Catherine, who is mum to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, is known for her natural ability to connect with young people during royal engagements and visits.

She has been known to make sure to bend or kneel down to children’s levels so she can engage and speak to them.

Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, have not joined their parents in Australia this week.

Archie and Lilibet – affectionately nicknamed Lili by her parents – have stayed in California and are likely being looked after by Meghan’s mum Doria Ragland.

Meghan and Harry have received a mixed reception following the start of their trip in Australia showcasing causes they care deeply about.

The former senior royals will visit places in Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney over a jam-packed few days.
