A right-wing extremist who called for “killing migrants when they arrive on their boats” has pleaded guilty to terrorism offences.
Ivan Jennings, 46, from Stafford, appeared at Leicester Crown Court on Monday to admit encouraging terrorism between August 15 and November 14 2024.
He also pleaded guilty to dissemination of a terrorism publication, a manifesto by Anders Breivik, on August 21 2024.
Jennings, who stood in the dock wearing a dark suit and purple tie, denied possession of a document for terrorist purposes, namely The Great Replacement by Brenton Tarrant, on November 14 2024, but Judge Andrew Lockhart KC said this count would lie on the file at sentencing.
A court previously heard Jennings was a member of a number of extreme right-wing social media chat groups, including on Telegram.
He encouraged others to emulate Christchurch terrorist Tarrant and discussed Molotov cocktails and “killing migrants when they arrive on their boats”, barrister Lee Ingham told the Old Bailey in January.
Judge Lockhart said Jennings will be sentenced on September 4 at Leicester Crown Court.
The defendant, who spoke only to confirm his identity and enter his pleas, remains on conditional bail.
