Viral footage on social media appears to show a wild brawl involving two England youth players during an international camp. The video primarily focuses on two players fighting while surrounded by several of their team-mates. The other players in the room are heard shouting encouragement as several film the incident on their mobile phones.
The brawl, which appears to have taken place in a hotel room, goes on for around a minute. One of the players appears to be the aggressor in the footage, grabbing the other and pushing him onto the bed with his hand around his neck. After a few seconds, he starts throwing punches before he is kicked off by the other player and the fighting continues.
One of the players is then filmed holding the other in a headlock and pinning him up against a wall. Screaming is heard in the video, but it’s not clear who is responsible.
At one point, the aggressor lets up before he is encouraged to carry on by one of the players standing around. He is also instructed to “f*** him up”.
In the background, team-mates are told to “shut the door” on multiple occasions. Laughing from those watching on is heard throughout the video as the brawl continues.
None of the other players, who remain dressed in their England training kits, decide to step in and break up the fight, instead allowing it to go on.
The video, which surfaced on social media on Wednesday, has already been viewed over 11 million times.
An FA spokesperson told Express Sport: “We were made aware of an internal matter during an MU16s [men’s under-16] camp in October 2025. This was quickly resolved at the time.”
It’s not clear what started the brawl, but the Daily Mail have claimed that it was sparked when one player was teased by another for having a Nokia mobile phone.
The incident has drawn widespread criticism from fans, particularly as team-mates were seen recording the altercation instead of stepping in to calm things down.
