It looks as if we’ve got our first mega-money deal of the summer transfer window, with Elliot Anderson heading to Manchester City. The midfielder is set to put pen to paper on a deal that will cost a reported £116million, after a long and drawn-out period of negotiations with Nottingham Forest.
It’s somewhat of a blow for Manchester United, who had been targeting the central midfielder, but will now be forced to look elsewhere. Sandro Tonali had emerged as an option for the Red Devils, but it looks as if they’re set for a transfer tussle with Tottenham, who have already seen a bid rejected.
