M5 traffic LIVE: Closure after ‘serious’ crash with 90 minute delays | UK | News

A section of the M5 in Devon has been closed this morning after motorcyclist was injured in a “serious” crash with a car. The major motorway is closed northbound between junction 31 (for the A30) and junction 30 (Exeter), with emergency services rushing to the scene.

National Highways has warned drivers there are currently delays of 90mins, as well as nine miles of traffic on approach on the M5. Motorway camera footage shows traffic at a complete standstill with motorists left bumper to bumper. A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Police were notified at around 8.15am this morning to reports of a collision involving a motorcyclist and a car on the M5 Northbound near junction 30/31. The motorcyclist has been injured. Injuries currently unknown. Emergency services are at the scene. Slow moving traffic due to collision.”
