Trump’s hand ‘swollen and discoloured’ as he meets with King Charles | US | News

Images of Trump’s left hand have continually appeared online over the past year, leading to several questions about the health of the 79-year-old.

On Monday, there appeared to be makeup on his hand covering the discolouring.

“Trump’s right hand has been in bad shape for a long time now, but this picture taken today shows discoloration on the back of his left hand,” journalist Aaron Rupar posted on X, alongside close up pictures.

The condition of the Republican president’s hands have be repeatedly observed since his return to the White House last year, as they are often covered in bruises.

One user said on social media: “It looks worse with the make up. He should just let it go.”

Another added: “I believe he gets monthly medical treatments of some kind that require an IV in his hand.”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has previously claimed that Trump’s hands often appear bruised due to being “a man of the people” and constantly shaking hands.

“President Trump has bruises on his hand because he’s constantly working and shaking hands all day, every day,” she said last year.

The President posed for pictures with the King and Queen on their arrival as they landed in the US on Monday morning.

Charles and Camilla accpeted bouquets of flowers from the children of British military families based in the US and listened to the national anthems of both countries.

During their visit, they will atttend a garden party as well as a state dinner at the White House.

They will also head to New York to meet with families of 9/11 victims before ending their trip at a national park in Virginia.

Charles is also to deliver a speech to Congress, marking the second time a British monarch addresses American lawmakers in the chamber.

The first being his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II.
